Privacy Policy

Effective June 27, 2026 · Last updated October 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Greeny Host LLC ("Greeny Host", "we", "us", "our") — the company that operates SEOSlate, a white-label SEO reporting platform (the "Service") — collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website or use the Service. It also explains the choices and rights you have regarding your information.

01 Overview & who we are

The data controller responsible for your personal information is Greeny Host LLC, operating SEOSlate, registered in the United States, with its registered address at Albuquerque, NM 87110.

For questions about this policy or your data, contact us at hello@seoslate.com.

03 Google user data & Google API Services

SEOSlate offers an optional integration that lets you connect your own Google account so we can import Google Search Console data for the websites you manage and include it in your SEO reports and dashboards. This section explains how we access, use, store, and share that data.

Limited Use. SEOSlate's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What Google data we access

When you choose to connect Google Search Console, we request read-only access using the Search Console API scope webmasters.readonly. For the properties you explicitly authorize, this lets us read search-performance metrics (clicks, impressions, click-through rate, average position), index-coverage and page status, and submitted sitemaps. We only access the properties you select — never your entire Google account.

How we access it

Access is granted through Google's OAuth 2.0 consent screen. You approve the specific scope on Google's own screen, and Google returns an access token to SEOSlate. We never see or store your Google account password.

How we use it

Google Search Console data is used solely to provide the user-facing features you request — generating your SEO reports, populating your dashboard, and showing performance trends over time. It is not used for any other purpose.

How we store and protect it

OAuth tokens are stored encrypted. Search Console data is cached only for as long as needed to produce your reports and is refreshed on each scan; we do not build permanent, independent databases of your Google data. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and protected by access controls.

What we never do

Consistent with the Limited Use requirements, information received from Google APIs is never:

  • Sold or transferred to third parties such as data brokers, information resellers, or advertising platforms;
  • Used or transferred to serve advertising, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising;
  • Used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes;
  • Used to train, fine-tune, or improve generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models;
  • Read by humans, except (a) with your explicit consent, (b) for security purposes such as investigating abuse, (c) to comply with applicable law, or (d) where the data is aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.

How to review or revoke access

You can disconnect the Google integration at any time from your SEOSlate account settings, and you can review or revoke SEOSlate's access directly in your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. When you disconnect, we delete the associated OAuth tokens and cached Google Search Console data within a reasonable period.

04 Data you add about your clients

To generate reports, you provide us with your clients' website domains and the email addresses where reports should be sent. Regarding this information, you are the data controller and SEOSlate acts as a data processor — we process it only on your instructions, to deliver the Service to you.

You are responsible for having a lawful basis to share your clients' contact details with us and for informing your clients as required by applicable law. Where required, a separate Data Processing Agreement (DPA) governs this relationship.

SEO scan data is gathered from publicly accessible information about the websites you add (the same data a search engine can see). We do not access your clients' servers, hosting accounts, or any private systems.

05 How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including generating and delivering reports;
  • Create and manage your account and process your subscription and payments;
  • Send service-related communications, such as billing notices, security alerts, and support replies;
  • Understand how the website and Service are used, so we can improve them;
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Our legal bases for processing (where GDPR applies) are: performance of a contract (to provide the Service), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service), consent (for non-essential cookies and marketing), and legal obligation (e.g. tax records).

06 Cookies & tracking technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies are needed for the site and your account to function. Non-essential analytics and advertising technologies load only after you accept them via our cookie banner.

Analytics & advertising tools we may use

  • Google Analytics 4 — aggregate traffic, sources, and on-page behaviour. See Google's privacy policy.
  • Microsoft Clarity — heatmaps and anonymised session recordings to understand how visitors interact with pages.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — to measure and optimise advertising and, where applicable, show relevant ads.

You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing the site's stored consent and choosing again, or by using your browser and device privacy controls. Declining non-essential cookies does not affect access to the core Service.

07 How we share information (sub-processors)

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with trusted service providers who help us run the Service, under contracts that require them to protect it:

ProviderPurpose
StripePayment processing and subscription billing.
Hosting providerHosting the application and storing data.
Google (PageSpeed Insights)Retrieving performance and Core Web Vitals data for the sites you add.
Email deliverySending transactional and report emails (including via your connected SMTP).
Google, Microsoft, MetaAnalytics and advertising, as described in Section 5 (only with consent).

We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case we will notify you).

08 Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations, or to resolve disputes.

You can request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 9).

09 Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, encrypted storage of sensitive credentials such as SMTP details, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

10 Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Delete your personal information ("right to be forgotten");
  • Port your data to another service in a structured format;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing;
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@seoslate.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

11 International data transfers

We and our service providers may process and store your information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms to ensure your data remains protected.

12 Children's privacy

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

13 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
